Please note this is ONLY for the Apple TV 2nd generation (720p version). The team is however working on getting the untether working on the latest Apple TV firmware (6.0.2), but it is proving to be a challenge.

The update includes Bluetooth keyboard support, Up Next and now, thanks to the jailbreak. Apple released the new software at the end of last month alongside iOS 6.1 for its other devices. Apple TV firmware 5.3 is equivalent to iOS 6.1.4, released back in June. This is effective as of 01.04.14 with Seas0nPass. FireCore has just announced that the latest firmware for the set-top box, Apple TV 5.2, is now jailbreakable thanks to an update to the Seas0nPass tool. Firecore has announced they have updated aTV Flash (black) and Seas0nPass to bring an untethered jailbreak for the Apple TV (2nd generation) running 5.3. I have downloaded the latest version of Seasonpass and iTunes.
